Is there a tandard way to attach context menus

Hello all, is there a standard way to attach a context menu to a morph? It's fairly easy to do by checking for yellowButtonPressed and manually firing up a MenuMorph. But it is sufficient to implement #addCustomMenuItems:hand: to get an enhanced Halo menu while #addYellowButtonMenuItemsTo:event: and #hasYellowButtonMenu don't help. Omnibrowser help

Are there some tips/documentation somewhere on getting the most out of the OmniBrowser? The MulitpleSelection browser looks interesting (sort of like the tabbed browser in VisualWorks), but I don't quite understand its behaviour and what method it decides to show in which pane when you move around or save changes. On the same topic, can anyone point me toward how I could add a new item to the class context menu in the OmniBrowser? I want to add a new template selection menu item (like "new class template" and "new trait template") because I have created a method that creates TWO classes at the same time for an Aida application (A domain model class AND its associated WebApp class). Hello, Normaly, I use vim or emacs and find usefull to not use the mouse when I code. I did not find any reference to the shortcuts used to manage windows, class browther ect, in Pharo. It should exist, some of them are show when I right clic (save, doit, printit...), but google did not help me to find more. Some shortcuts that I will find very usefull migth permit: - to change the window focus (change windows) - move between the parts of the class browser (packages, classes[instaces, ?, class, hierarchy, variables...], categories, methods, edition), - close tools, open tools (class browser, transcript, workspace...) There maybe exist an alternative class browser/editor that will permit such things? Shortly, does anyone have the same horror of rats than me :), and what solutions have you found? Thanks in advance. Collaboration with Squeak 2.8

Greetings again. I'm hacking on Scratch, which is based on MIT Squeak, which is based on Squeak 2.8. I want to collaborate with others on a project. Monticello appears to require Squeak 3.1 or later. Is there a way for me to upgrade an image? If not, is there a sensible way to use a revision control system? It appears to me that: 1) collaborators could each create change sets, and e-mail them to each other, for every one to file in (which sounds like it would be confusing; surely I am not understanding something) or 2) every class in the code could be filed out into a directory, standard version control systems could be used, and then every class could be filed back in (which likewise seems daunting). I'm trying to do the Qunito exercis on p. 35 of 'Squeak by Example'. The screen is System Browser: SBECell SBE-Quinto SBECell --all-- messageSelectorand ArgumentNames as yet unclassified messageSelectorAndArgumentNames "create quinto game" | initialize | initialize super initialize. self label:''. self borderWidth: 2. bounds:= 0@0 corner: 16@16. offColor := Color paleYellow. onColor := Color paleBlue darker. self useSquareCorners. self turnOf I can inspect it, but if I do the 'openInWorld', Squeak objects that it doesn't know Initialize, or 'openInWorld' The lower screen in inspection shows |openInWorld| Nothing more expected. How do I get it to open?

I'm doing the exercise on p. 36 of 'Squeak by Example'. I get the message openinWorld self shouldBeImplemented MessageNotUnderstood: SBECell>>openinWorld shouldBeImplemented What's the problem?

help with Sokoban evaluation

I am on page 16 if 'Squeak by Example'. I have installed Sokoban, but I can't get the evaluation to work. I open a workspace and type 'SokobanMorph random openinWorld', click evaluate and get an message that it cannot understand 'openinWorld'.

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi Squeakers, I've just been reading through the Laser Game Manual by Stephan B Wessels, and stumbled upon the section where he suggested a method for leaving notes, i.e. ToDos in the source code (http://squeak.preeminent.org/tut2007/html/035B.html ). He suggests to enhance the Object class with a new method "revisit: aString", that doesn't have a method body. Instead every subclass of Object where we want to leave notes, we'll just send us a message, e.g. "self revisit: 'I still need to think about a more effective algorithm here'". The trick is that now you can search for all senders of "revisit:" and have all your ToDos in one place. What do you think about this approach? Personally I dislike it. Though it is an interesting approach I somehow feel like cheating on the purpose of methods and messages. I don't know how to put it into better words, it just doesn't feel like neat, clean object oriented programming to me. What do you think? And, more important, how do you keep track of your ToDos? How do you keep them in your comments, and how do you make them available to yourself in an overview?
