FFI working in Etoys image

Hi guys, For a while now I have been trying to use FFI on the latest Etoys image, but something seemed to be broken on the Etoys image. I never took the time to look at it deeply until today. I think found the cause of this problem. It seems the Parser is not parsing external functions correctly. I fixed this by modifying the last line of Parser>>#externalFunctionDeclaration to add the pragma for the primitive 120 instead of simply returning 120 (I copied it from a squeak image). Now it seems to be working correctly and I think it doesn't have any undesirable side effect, although I'm not 100% sure. I published the change on etoysinbox. I don't know if somebody finds this useful but if you think it makes no harm, I'll be happy to move it to etoys. Thanks! Richo

Customizable project resolution?

Hi all, In order to share projects easily, project resolution is set to 1200x900, and use VirtualScreen to scale to fit the physical screen. But for some small screens, 1200x900 is a bit large, so the project world has to be zoomed out a lot. In some languages, such as Chinese, there are a number of font glyphs are complex, as those characters also has to be zoomed out, they may not be showed very clearly. So is it better to make project resolution customizable? Just like we can set canvas size to any value in image manipulation programs. As projects are displayed using VirtualScreen, this change will not affect project sharing. The bounds of project world is initialized in worldPasteUpMorph>>initForProject, when I change it to some other value instead of Display boundingBox, project displays properly, so I think it may be not very difficult to implement this. So could this feature be added into Etoys? Thanks, Xin Wang

[ANN] Multi-touch table on the top of Krestianstvo / Croquet

Hello, Want to share an experiment doing with Croquet and Krestianstvo SDK: a Multi-touch table. The table is controlled directly by Krestianstvo virtual space and it's objects, being shared on the Croquet island. So, several such tables could be organized into p2p network and become a really interactive classroom, programmable just in Smalltalk. For recognizing objects reacTIVision fiducial markers and TUIO protocol are used (based on Simon Holland TUIO for Squeak work). For music synthesising SuperCollider through OSC is connected, using the idea from SCIMP (SuperCollider Server client for Impromptu) and being realized in Smalltalk.
