Gilad is forming a team at Cadence and is raising eye brows with his latest hire. Eliot Miranda recently left Cincom to join Gilad at Cadence . Eliot is well-known known as a Master of Smalltalk Development. We can’t help wondering about the team of Gilad and Eliot. I spoke with Gilad about Cadence, Smalltalk, and Open Source. that is indeed exciting news. I really wonder what they're up to. It must be something very nice, given all the topics that possibly go in there...
Anyway, there's another nice story that can be told when people come around with the old claim that Smalltalk just isn't used in practice anywhere. :-)
Best,
Michael

which reminds me...

I frequently run into trouble when people ask me about such success stories, and don't want to disappoint them (or concede a point to them, that is).

I believe there is a companies that develop smalltalk link on the esug site. I know there are a few other web sites that list companies and jobs available. Maybe it would be a good addition to squeak.org?

No no, don't replicate that! Just make sure that squeak.org links them and write a sentence why the link is so kewl.

Thank you Klaus,
As I said before, it's difficult to know if anyone really notices the work I've been putting in on weekly squeak! I appreciate your acknowledgement.
I still have 5 more big articles in the pipeline, stay tuned.
Ron
