Hi all
I'm a little busy in these days, so I don't know when and how I can publish new items on the blog.
Can you cover me up?
Giovanni
I think we must slow down the publishing frequency. If we can schedule about two items per week we can build up a "buffer" for such period. This small hack works well on some site I manage.
My article on Seaside will be published on the first of november, so we only need another news for the next week.
I'll look forward to something else to cover you. Bye bye

should the news summary, which is currently done weekly, be turned into a monthly issue then? It would look funny if the summary mail was longer than the news stories. ;-)
Best,
Michael
Yeah I think we can a summary every three or four stuff ready to publish in the next ten days. We'll have a news summary at least every two weeks, which is fine.
You can publish in the middle to saying something like: "Yesterday wepublished A Tomorrow you will see B and C" so everyone will read it to get the "forward look" ;)

I'll continuously watch what happens - and if the amount of news items posted in one week is "too few" (whatever that means), I'll wait for another week and send a summary of two weeks then.
I think it's best to let that be adaptive. If there's a week with only few posted news but significant ones, it might be good to have a summary nevertheless.
Anyway, on to preparing this week's summary. OOPSLA's over, I'm back home, the jetlag is gone, ready to rumble (on). :-)
Best,
Michael

My long term plan is to move the blog to http://news.squeak.org (which right now is just a redirect to the wordpress.com server) and rename it the Daily Squeak (for it will have a new post every day). Then the weekly summary can be renamed The Weekly Squeak tout court.
Starting tomorrow I should be able to do a small post daily.
