Hello... If I start with a fresh dev image, sq3.10.2-7179dev08.08.1
and install LevelPlayingField with:
(HTTPSocket httpGet: 'installer.pbwiki.com/f/LPF.st') readStream fileIn. "Bootstrap"
and then try to install packages with:
Installer install: 'Packages'.
It gets this far:
found http://installer.pbwiki.com/Packages?raw=bare ... installing...redirecting to http://installer.pbwiki.com/FrontPage redirecting to http://installer.pbwiki.com/FrontPage redirecting to http://installer.pbwiki.com/FrontPage
found http://installer.pbwiki.com/311-KernelExtensions?raw=bare ... installing... finding Kernel-Extensions... found Kernel-Extensions-kph.78.mcz...
and then lands in a Debugger at Warning>>defaultAction
Should I post this on Mantis?
Thanks...just thought someone would want to know...
Rob
Sorry...I meant to add that it still works properly with sq3.10.2-7179dev08.07... Rob

That's a bug in squeak-dev. Damien decided to include the totally unstable OB-Tools package in squeak-dev-3.10, and it does the wrong thing when self notify: is sent. It is supposed to show a dialog with this text:
You are about to load new versions of the following packages that have unsaved changes in the image. If you continue, you will lose these changes.
Kernel-Extensions
To me, this is yet another reason you shouldn't use damien's images.
So, email it to damien, and tell him to get OB-Tools out of squeak-dev. Or, just don't use squeak-dev-beta. It is very unstable.

I tweaked the script to ignore the Kernel-Extensions package present in squeak-dev, which is broken due to MC1.0's mis-handling of overrides

Done: http://bugs.squeak.org/view.php?id=7148. Thanks for the report. When this message appears, just click on proceed as you would do in any other image. If you want to deactivate OB-Tools, just unload the package using Monticello (right click then Unload). This will magically brings back the old tools :-).
Thank you everyone who did whatever you did to make this work! I kind of just enjoy testing all the new stuff out doing "normal" beginner things and seeing if it works... Rob
