Ted,
Please define "latest Etoys version": Etoys 4.0 2336, Etoys 4.1 alpha 2 or Etoys Dev Image after "update code from server"
It will be in 4.1, and is ready to be tested in Alpha 2.
Where do I find "keep the current project"
Simply save the project. Under Sugar saving is called "keeping in Journal".
, is this available in "Etoys friendly" mode?
Most certainly ;)
The English guides are in Contents/Resources/QuickGuides. The translated ones in Content/Resources/locale/xy/QuickGuides. (I wonder if it wouldn't be simpler if we moved the English guides there, too)
Ted's method works best with Etoys-To-Go. Its contents is writable, and it's easy to zip up and distribute.
On the Mac, the QuickGuides folders are hidden inside the Etoys application icon. You have to choose "show package contents" in the Finder's menu.
In a regular (not to-go) Linux installation, the QuickGuides are in /usr/share/etoys. You would need root access to put files there.
Under Sugar there is no convenient way to copy a project out of the Journal, and to that location. You would have to use the "copy-from-journal" command in the Terminal activity.
