What we need is a repository for the translation files.

So the next step would be to set up this repository.
The place for the repository could be /files/svn, as
with this we will get it mirrored / put on DVD
  with the rest. (a checked out version should be available,
too).

The first step is to use it for the translations, the second
would be to coordinate with the vm people to move
the vm svn repository over.
