Running one setup in development and another in production is not an
option. I am not going to do that.

I can't seem to reproduce the problem. There is a snipped you posted and
you claim it raises a primitive failure, but it doesn't for me. That's good
news. It doesn't surprise me though. The problem showed up more that 6
years ago, it was a different VM and everything. I am just going to use the
WB feature and I'll let you know if something horrible happens.
