It is intended to provide platform independent utilities, such as 
number printing. Unfortunately floats are printed
on all platforms in a slightly different way, therefor I thought it 
would be good to have our own function.
Unfortunately printing floats correctly is not really trivial.

Right now it is an experimental package, to be included later on if 
there is interest. Do you think this is useful?
