Not sure if it is related, but take a look at
http://code.google.com/p/seaside/issues/detail?id=69. Using inspectors on  
instances
of WAObject that use the request context for displaying state would cause  
problems if
errors are thrown when request context is missing... in inspectors, the  
request
context will not exist...
