Folks -

I wanted to let you all know that the Squeak team is aware of the various
problems in the 1.3 release, and that it is our intention, as usual after a
major release, to put out a set of fixes or, in this case, more likely to
release a follow-up image.

In addition to the bugs that have already been posted to this list (and
which we plan to address), you should know that there is a bug in BitBlt
mode 26, and modes 27-29 are no-ops in the 1.3 VM.  We have already fixed
these in an internal VM that we are testing.

My guess is that we should have this out to you toward the end of next
week.  In the meantime, we have also implemented a multi-tap reverb
instrument, so the music output will be better than ever.  We are not
certain what causes the problems with Windows sound output, but we'll try
to get to the bottom of it before the follow-up release.  Also Project
windows now show a cleaner thumbnail image of their contents, thus making a
very nice iconic organizer for large projects or presentations.

Thanks to everyone for their tolerance and especially to those who have
posted constructive solutions to the bugs that have shown up in these first
few days.
