Change in mailing list "From:" field?

In the past, the "Reply to:" field in Squeak mailing list messages listed
the mailing list address, and the "From:" field listed the person who
submitted the message. This had the desirable effect that a simple reply
(in most email apps) would go to the full list. It seems like this changed
recently (on 4/21) so that the mailing list address is listed in both
fields. Was this a conscious change? It has the bad effect that, unless
the originator includes a full signature block, the reader can't identify
who sent the message or reply just to that individual.
