Can I ask why you don't like ALT-TAB? I've been following this thread and trying
to understand my own reasons for using the keyboard exclusively for some
operations, the mouse for others and shifting between the two under some
conditions for others.

I use ALT-TAB when:
- my hands are already on the keyboard
- the text in the buttons on the task bar isn't enough to tell me which window I need
- I'm toggling between two different windows

I like the option for "stay-put" flaps, perhaps there can be an option for manually
activating a flap. I find automatic flaps very annoying. Perhaps it is my lack of
hand-eye coordination, but they always pop up over something else I'm aiming
for.
