  I put it on 'S q u e a k' flap so that I only see it when
I want to do so:-)

  By the way, I wonder it's nice if I can put a selector
finder on the flap.  Usually I have only one selector finder
collapsed on the screen and expand it at the time I want to
use it.  If it is on the flap (and I can type in), the same
effect can be achieved but much convenient way.
