Smalltalk-72?

Hello,

I have a Smalltalk072 manual, some video's showing some of the stuff done
in ST-72, and I have to confess, that the event handling system with
overriding of 'mousedown', etc. messages seemed to be better that the
controlActivity messages and all that. Was ST-72 event driven or did it
have a control processing layer like ST-80?

It seems that the kids writing schematic editors, animation systems, etc.
had a more powerful layer for interfacing events and view than ST-80? Is
that so?

What would you say was better in ST-72 than what we have today, and why?

Thanks,

Sam Griffith Jr.
