It may also be wise to assign the responsibility of maintaining the API to
someone who is very willing and enthusiastic.  For example, Guylhem Aznar
was recently nominated leader of the LDP (Linux Documentation Project
http://metalab.unc.edu/LDP).  Anyone out there willing to take on such an
enormous role?
