I'd be interested to hear how the Perl community achieves a better level of
code sharing and reuse.  Perhaps there are some simple things the Squeak
community could adopt and benefit from.

Andrew Greenberg did a nice job of wrappering the regular expression library
that Python and Perl (I think) use.  Have you looked at it?
