Must _ go like the Dodo?

....here's my $0.99...      :-)

Frankly, I wouldn't mind losing the _ as an assignment operator.  It is only
visible as an -> in the Squeak image; thus it is harder to read code in a
viewer that is not governed by Squeak rules (like in e-mail messages, on the
Web, or in any other text editor/viewer).

Of course, I didn't even know about the _ operator until I started using
Squeak.  I learned to program Smalltalk on Digitalk V.
