Guys,
     This discussion has touched on several interesting theoretical-type issues,
but this thread is really no longer about getting a VNC Server running in
Squeak.

     Also, just an observation: You've been discussing things on a very abstract
level, which gives me the impression that you're striving for a general purpose
solution.  IMO, very broad general purpose solutions are usually undesirable
because they are overkill for nearly all possible applications.  (For example, a
helicopter is rarely a good substitute for a bicycle.)  And, general purpose
solutions developed outside the context of a specific application or set of
applications are almost always useless.  So, please try to keep these things in
mind.
