Tim, if I may suggest (unless of course it's there already) You should be
able to get a list of all plugin that are loaded and their version
information. Each plugin should have a call that you can invoke to get a
version information string. This will make debugging easier when dealing
with mysterious plugins and what versions they are? An Identification string
would also be great. Perhaps some protocol is needed here? If you think
about Linux Red Hat RPMS you can query them for information...
