Hi,
 In my 0 + epsilon spare time I am working on Mpeg 1 audio codecs which 
include MP3.  For assorted patent reasons I'm only working on the decoder
bits.  It will be 100% pure squeak though I'm guessing that you'll need
a pretty spiffy processor to do anything else useful at the time.
