Did you compile the plugin yourself?
At the beginning of sqUnixFFI.c:
...
#include "sq.h"
#include "sqFFI.h"
#ifndef NO_FFI_SUPPORT
#include <ffi.h>
...
Header <ffi.h> doesn't exist on my system.
