For this reader, it is.  There are five computers in this room, and I'm
sending mail from a sixth.  Word runs on only one of those machines.
(It used to run on another, but doesn't any longer.)  In any case, a
plain text or RTF file would manifestly not have contained any viruses;
this is not true of .doc files.
