The Full Alan Kay Quote

"Don't worry about what anybody else is going to do
 The best way to
predict the future is to invent it. Really smart people with reasonable
funding can do just about anything that doesn't violate too many of
Newton's Laws!"
— Alan Kay in 1971,

Hi,

I spoke with Alan Kay about this a while back and
http://www.smalltalk.org/alankay.html contains the full Alan Kay quote and
a few of Alan's comments on it. Douglas Adams
must have been quoting Alan without mentioning Alan's name. The author of
the article must not have known that Douglas was quoting Alan.

All the best,

Peter
