BookMorph: is this a bug?

OK, I've downloaded Mark Guzdial's ch1-history.zip. I've unzipped it in
/home/john/Squeak_Cookbook/history/ it's all there. No faults on
unzipping it.

So, I want to open it as a book. I use the world menu to get open... and
file list. I click on ch1-history.bo and choose open as book. I get an
itsy bitsy book morph and an error message which reads "ch1-history1.sp
does not exist". But it does! And if I click choose another name, that
file, the one which does not exist, with its full path, pops up in the
dialog box!

What's more, if I choose "open as a morph" the dialogue tells me that
"ch1-history27.sp does not exist" and again, it does!

Furthermore, I can open any of these .sp files as a project or a morph
and they open just fine!

What on earth is happening here?

I suspect that the file open dialogues in Squeak either don't fully
understand Unix paths or simply don't like the Unix habit of deeply
nesting directories (but I could be completely wrong -- wouldn't be the
first time).

I'm using 3.0 final on SuSE 6.4.

Cheers

John
