Agreed on all 3 points. Interesting that, as Ned pointed out, these
characters are happy/hypocritical enough to support Microsoft. But
perhaps,as republicans, they see that as better than supporting those
democrats at Apple or the anarchist hordes of Linux and BSD. Probably
makes them eminently hackable, too ;-)

Strangely, in Europe Walmart (Asda over here) stock a pretty wide
assortment of condoms and such. While they're probably not the best
employers, there are certainly worse ones here.  Maybe some more direct
political pressure could get them to see the value of a more pragmatic
approach in the US?
