optional panes out-of-the-box, and other preferences

I like the rounded corners, annotation panes, optional buttons and menus
colored form world options all enabled.

Also, I really like the preference for projectViewsInWindows OFF.  The
projects morphs look nice.
I go back and add drop shadows for a nice effect (and even posted a
change set to make
that a preference, recently).

I vote to keep the 16 bit color depth by default and I prefer the pastel
window colors.

There's my opinions for ya!
