There is a patch for supporting sound on Solaris: (by Lex Spoon)

SunOS or Solaris

  sqUnixSound.c-sun (not recently tested!)
A replacement for sqUnixSound.c which supports basic sound playback
on SunOS and Solaris. If you compile this on Solaris, use -DSOLARIS or
#define SOLARIS, because a critical header file is in different
locations. by Lex Spoon. (updated 00/11/19)
