Animorphic Vm and code will be available

My impression is that the Animorphic stuff was closely related to the
Self virtual machine. If that is the case, then the good news is that
the source for the latter is already available:

  http://www.sun.com/research/self/release_4.1/release.html

The bad news is that none of the efforts by outside groups to do
something with this large C++ code (like port to the X86, for example,
since it currently only compiles for the Sparc and PowerPC) got very
far and I doubt that the Animorphic code will be much "friendlier". In
fact, given how hard it is for Sun to keep evolving the Animorphic
stuff in Java 2.0 it is a good guess that this won't be a realistic
Jitter alternative for Squeak.

I hope I am totally wrong, though.
