[OT] RE: M$ banging nails into java's coffin?

Or most probably they'll do neither; they'll simply curse that **** Web site
(or application) that isn't compatible with *their* computer (as most users
simply do not realise that it is possible to fix the problem) and go
elsewhere, forcing the developer to cut down on the Java on the site / in
the application and go for a technology that is available to a larger
percentage of their audience.

Remember: Users dictate who wins, not technology.  And there are many, many
more scared, ignorant or just plain lazy users out there who won't see
beyond the fact that it wasn't preinstalled on their computer, set-top box,
games machine, PDA or phone.

This is where it's an advantage to have a small, fast Squeak plug-in with a
framework that will allow the same content to run anywhere!
