Argh..I've become far too jaded for my own good, I guess. :)
At any rate, I'm not saying /. shouldn't be notified...by all means, do! Just
be prepared for..well, anything...this is /., after all. I guess there's the
old saying that there's no such thing as "bad" publicity.
