I had to change the User Agent string that my browser sent to look like 
Netscape 4.76 before I could see anything other than the "oops" screen when I 
selected "download".

Perhaps the browser sniffing could be made aware of other Linux browsers, 
including Opera and Konqueror.

Or maybe if the browser sniffing didn't work you could get a choice (this 
would make more sense, wouldn't it?). Someone who is using a non-mainstream 
browser may well know which plugins their browser can handle.
