[FIX] readDocumentPref-ls

Heh!  Let's see, it's in Squeak2.9a, and apparently it was added by sma
on 6/25/2000.  It appears to be a stealth addition of changeset 2428. 
It quietly disappeared when the switch to the ProjectLauncher thingie
happened.
