Well, that depends on the ROM you feed it.  The one from the URL given 
indeed is Applesoft-BASIC (observe the $] prompt, versus $>).  PRINT 9/2 to 
verify.

You can also enter the Monitor by CALL -151, but the MiniAssembler (CALL 
-2458) seems to be missing from that ROM.
