Weather maps?

Please include me in any discussions about mapping/cartography.

I have been working on a project to objectify data from SDTS
data files and have a simple framework for browsing the data
and I am beginning to design a graphical browser.

The open GIS project http://www.opengis.org looks interesting
and I have started to
research what it would take to implement some of it in Squeak.

My biggest hurdle is that I do not know much about cartography
and I have to learn as I go.

Best Regards,
