Large unix files... & OS-X

Lurking in the back of OS-9 and OS-X is the ability to have unicode
file names, and large files (files > 2GB). Do we have any need for
this? I've been eyeing the existing mac file logic with a meat
cleaver, mostly because when you attempt to link using the BSD
libraries in the OS-X mac development environment then interesting
things happen with the file logic.

(ps also the ability to have file names > 31 characters)
