At least if a Squeak book from O'Reilly ever came out, we'd have an obvious animal choice: the mouse.

Although I suppose a mouse has probably already been used for one of their book covers by now.  Guessing again, I'd say that it was probably a wild brown mouse that's already been used, so we could go with a white laboratory mouse.  Seems apropos to me. :)
