I had a feeling that the Squeak.org download might be a little behind
the version we have here.
However, you can also make a new project by clicking and holding on
the world (desktop) to get its menu. Select "open" (near the middle).
And from its menu go to the bottom and select "morphic project". This
will cause the very same ProjectView to appear in the upper left hand
corner.
This is probably the best way for now, until we catch up with the
updates to the Squeak list.
I just saw a note from Les Tyrrell saying that "New" is where it is
supposed to be on his 3.1 image. Perhaps you downloaded an earlier
version?
Here is another thing to try (please let me know what happens).
Copy the image and changes file and rename them (but keep the
suffixes .image and .changes). Fire up the new image file and open
the "Squeak" flap (located on the left hand side). Make sure you are
connected to the Internet, and press the button "load code updates".
This should bring you all the recent updates to the Squeak list. If
this is successful (thousands of people have been using it for years)
then you can just save this image, and you will be much more up to
date.
Cheers,
Alan
