Some of us use vi, Textpad, or <insert-text-editor-of-choice> rather than a
HTML editor*, which makes this difficult to detect.  And I bet Javascript
support got added to the other editors after HTML comment support and
therefore the Javascript parser and pretty-syntax-colourer has priority at
that point :-).
