there might be a solution for the Plugin problem.
To make an Active-X control for Squeak.

The Active-X control is merely a small wrapper which sends every message to
Squeak which is exposed as an OLE Server.

The OLE-Server can use the Device-Context handle of the Active-X control (
which resides in the Browser-Process )
to paint in the Active-X area.

A sample of this technique was given on the SUGAR website using
VSE-COM-Server to serve an Active-X control.
I don't have this sample anymore.
