Please don't.  I've had such problems with my newsfeed that I haven't
read news for a couple of years.

Actually, we've visited this question before, and IIRC the climate of
opinion was that the mailing list and newsgroup (if any) should have
identical content.  IF that were so, I wouldn't mind, but I really don't
want to miss news about Squeak that might be important to me.
