I find the Morphic performance adequete enough that I've not tried
anything to speed it up.  It's a wee bit laggy, but it doesn't frustrate
me.  A 10% improvement in speed would be welcomed, something I'll try to
achieve eventually.  2.6 and 2.8 images are quite a bit faster than the
3.0 image I'm using, so we'll see what kind of hints I can find in there.
