A colleague of mine is a MUD guy (I know what the acronym expands to and
that's about it :-)); he is playing around in VisualWorks having big fun (at
least that's what he tells me) hacking up a MUD (besides operating his C-based
MUD, what a chore).

Anyway, I'm CC'ing him on this message so your friend and my colleague can
