I also received the original request.  The header in the original mail I received indicated that it was to:
			mailman-owner at lnx-3.ams-2.theinternetone.net

which forwarded it to mailman-squeak-dev at lists.squeakfoundation.org.  It only looked odd to me because my mail filters didn't catch it as a Squeak related mail and file it appropriately.
