However, and still if it would be deemed necessary to have variants of
selectors in all languages, I think a more reasonable approach would be to
have the one and true (English) version internally, and fake the translation
by having a bi-directional mapping between the internal version and the
external version; the compiler and debugger could be adapted to map
on-the-fly. 

(how many distinct selectors are there at present anyway?)
