One thing to try is to change (turn on, I imagine) the preference #postscriptStoredAsEPS. This will allow your printer to resize as necessary to fit the page. One of the real questions here is whether one wants things scaled vs. clipped vs. printed on several pages. The preference above basically toggles between the first two options and GeeMails (and maybe books) use the third option.
