The 800 and 880 models are definately cool, but they're quite a bit larger
than the 780, and too big to fit in my pocket. The 780 is probably not
what most people think they could fit in thier pocket, but it is about the
same size as a Newton 2100, which fits fine in my back pocket. :)

The MobilePro 780 is a good choice in between a PocketPC and a laptop or
something like the 880. It has a slightly larger screen, and a full
keyboard, but I can still get 800x600 by attaching it to an external
monitor.

I've mostly dismissed the 720 on the basis of price. I'd love to get a
720, but I'm shooting for under $400. the 820 isn't really my thing for
the same reason as the NEC 880.

<plug> Of course, I wouldn't mind buying an HP 720 or 820, or a NEC
800/880 off of someone at an extra-low cost- think of it as subsidizing my
Squeak PDA work, and endowing a poor college student with a brighter
future :P Info @ http://dynapad.swiki.net </plug>
