When you say "allows" for aliases, do you mean that external modules can
be given aliases right now...and those aliases can be used when
referring to a module?  Or, are you saying that this need was
anticipated, allowed for, but not fully implemented?

If it's implemented, a description of how to use it would be a nice
addition to the modules page on the swiki.
