Books and other readings

Martin;

Of the two Guzdial books, I believe a newcomer to Squeak will find the
first, "Squeak, Object Oriented Design with Multimedia Applications" (the
white book) more useful. The second ("NuBlue") book, which can be found
online, (http://coweb.cc.gatech.edu/squeakbook/) is also excellent but more
advanced. If you are new to Smalltalk, you might also find "Squeak, A Quick
Trip To Objectland" by Korienek et al helpful, though Mark's book tends to
get the reader actively involved in the language sooner.

It is true that these books are not cheap, but they are well worth their
price.

However, the online tutorials and message archives are also very
informative, though of course they are neither as comprehensive nor as
orderly as any of the books mentioned.
