Subject: What's the meaning of "squeak"?
As Squeak was called "Squeak" before Disney, it's not Mickey Mouse,
who gave us this name.
As I understand it, the origin is a well kept secret, but here come some
wild speculations:
- Maybe it's an acronym: "software quality for educators, artists and
kids"?
- Or is it the slogan of Neil Stephensons mouse-army in "Diamond Age",
which came up
around the same time as Squeak?
;-)
